Carley Frohling Expertise: Program Initiation and Integration. Fund Development. Community Organizing and Partnership Development Full Biography: Carley Frohling has over 17 years of experience ranging from business management, systems development, community organizing, to strategic program advancement.

Carley served in a variety of leadership roles with two large Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies. Her primary focus was to develop community resources in order to build and sustain mentoring programs for children living in at-risk circumstances including those with incarcerated parents. In this role, she developed effective partnerships with foundations, law enforcement agencies, corporations, faith—based and community-based organizations. She developed new programs that reached more children and attracted hard-to-reach volunteers such as men and busy professionals. In addition, she supported the growth of the board of directors as well as managed operations and outreach staff including AmeriCorps VISTA members.

Prior to that, Carley served as the director of a training and technical assistance provider for the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS). This provider, the National Crime Prevention Council, is home of McGruff the Crime Dog ®. The primary purpose was to provide capacity building services to faith and community based organizations – helping them gain access to important national service resources. She developed and delivered training to over 400 CNCS grantees, wrote numerous training publications and tools, and collaborated with over 30 grassroots organizations and two federal agencies to host six regional conferences around the country over nine months.

Prior to her seven years in national and community-based nonprofit organizations, she has over 10 years of corporate consultanting and management experience. This includes executing the full software development life cycle to implement risk management systems for six telecommunications agencies across the United States.

Carley graduated with a business degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
